Privacy notice for the private beta
Last updated March 25, 2026. This notice describes the current repo behavior for the private beta. It is intentionally modest and does not claim certifications or protections the product does not currently provide.
What Cevune stores
Cevune stores the information needed to run your account and the beta: account details, captured text, uploaded audio, transcripts, titles, summaries, memory objects, reviews, actions, resurfaced items, onboarding answers, beta-access records, feedback, support requests, billing state, and basic operational logs.
How the app uses that data
The app uses this data to save your captures, retrieve them later, generate summaries, memory links, reviews, and resurfacing when those features are enabled, enforce plan and beta access rules, troubleshoot failures, and run a small private beta safely.
Audio and AI processing
Voice uploads are stored privately through the repo's current storage abstraction and played back through an authenticated route instead of a public file URL. In environments configured for live AI mode, Cevune sends the text or audio needed for transcription, summaries, reviews, or resurfacing to OpenAI. In environments configured for mock mode, those provider calls are not made.
Access controls and limits
User data is scoped on the server to the signed-in account. Internal beta and diagnostics tools are limited to approved admin accounts or an internal token. This repo is still an early beta, so you should avoid treating it as a certified or compliance-grade storage system.
Retention, deletion, and closure
You can delete individual entries, memories, and actions inside the app today. Account-level closure is handled through a staged request in settings: the request is stored for manual review, nothing is deleted instantly from that request alone, and some minimal billing, diagnostic, or abuse-prevention records may remain if operationally required after manual closure work is completed.
Questions or concerns
Use the support page or email support if you need clarification, want to report a trust concern, or want to request account closure.
